Tesla Onboard Charger Service FAQ
Charging symptoms and diagnostic findings must distinguish a vehicle fault from the external charging equipment. Failure at one station alone is not enough to justify replacing the onboard charger.
The replacement and any configuration work must match the vehicle's hardware. The Tesla model name alone does not identify every part revision or compatible assembly.
The scope should include the configuration required for the installed part and a check of the affected charging function. Any remaining alerts need evaluation before the repair is considered complete.
Tesla vehicles do not all use the same components or procedures. Send the model, VIN and relevant repair history so onboard charger service can be assessed for the vehicle you own.
