AC Compressor Replacement
AC compressors are usually durable, but without proper maintenance or due to normal wear and tear or electrical faults, they can start producing unusual noises, burning smells, visible leaks, or stop cooling the air. In this case, the AC compressor must be replaced.

Tesla AC Compressor Replacement FAQ
Not necessarily. Refrigerant loss, airflow, controls and other HVAC faults can cause similar symptoms. Diagnosis needs to establish the cause before a compressor is replaced.
The replacement must match the vehicle's HVAC configuration and required service procedure. Provide the VIN and any HVAC repair history for your Tesla to identify the correct scope.
The repair plan should address the cause of failure and any related contamination or leakage found during diagnosis. Replacing the compressor alone may leave an underlying fault unresolved.
Tesla vehicles do not all use the same components or procedures. Send the model, VIN and relevant repair history so ac compressor replacement can be assessed for the vehicle you own.
