Tesla HVAC Diagnostics FAQ
Describe insufficient heating or cooling, unusual noise, weak airflow, odors or displayed alerts. Note whether the issue affects every vent or only one area.
Diagnostics look for the cause of the complaint. A recharge only addresses refrigerant service and may not help with controls, airflow or a failed component.
Record the climate settings and conditions when it happens, along with any recent work. Intermittent complaints are easier to assess when the team knows how and when they occur.
Tesla vehicles do not all use the same components or procedures. Send the model, VIN and relevant repair history so hvac diagnostics can be assessed for the vehicle you own.
