Tesla Model S Aluminum Body Repair FAQ
Repairability depends on the panel, the damage location and the repair procedure for your vehicle. A cosmetic dent and damage to a structural aluminum part need different assessments; replacement may be necessary.
The visible dent does not show whether attachments, nearby joints or the underlying structure are affected. The repair plan needs to identify the material and allowed repair method before work starts.
Send a wide view of the damaged side, close-ups of the dent or tear, and pictures of nearby panel gaps. Include your VIN and explain how the damage occurred; photographs are a starting point, not a substitute for inspection.
Tell the team about previous work on the affected system, especially replaced assemblies or modifications. For Model S aluminum body repair, the installed hardware needs to be checked along with the VIN; it may differ from an assumption based only on age.
