Tesla Model S Minor Collision Repair FAQ
A small impact can damage mounts or adjacent parts even when the paint damage looks minor. Describe the impact and any changes in steering, panel fit or dashboard messages.
Creased metal, a damaged headlamp mount, wheel contact or damage behind the panel can expand the scope. The estimate needs to distinguish cosmetic damage from those additional findings.
Photograph the impact area and the whole affected corner, including the wheel and nearby gaps. Bring any prior estimate and explain whether the vehicle's behavior changed after the incident.
Tell the team about previous work on the affected system, especially replaced assemblies or modifications. For Model S minor collision repair, the installed hardware needs to be checked along with the VIN; it may differ from an assumption based only on age.
