Tesla Model S Supercharging Troubleshooting FAQ
Not by itself. Charging conditions and the vehicle's state can affect speed. Record the battery level, displayed messages and whether the problem repeats across locations before requesting diagnosis.
Send the time and location of the session, screenshots of alerts and a description of whether charging starts, slows or stops. Note whether other forms of charging still work on your Tesla Model S.
The repair depends on the cause. A diagnostic assessment is needed before choosing parts or promising a charging speed; external station conditions may also need to be ruled out.
Tell the team about previous work on the affected system, especially replaced assemblies or modifications. For Model S supercharging troubleshooting, the installed hardware needs to be checked along with the VIN; it may differ from an assumption based only on age.
