Tesla Model X Drive Unit Bearing Repair FAQ
The technician needs to distinguish the noise from wheel bearings, tires and other rotating parts. Changes with road speed or load are useful clues, but inspection is needed to identify the source.
That depends on the drive-unit version, damage and available repair procedure. The scope should explain whether a component repair is appropriate or whether the assembly has wider damage.
The affected drive unit, access, related wear and required parts all matter. Supply the VIN and describe the noise so the assessment starts with the correct assembly.
Provide the VIN, exact symptom and affected component. For Model X drive unit bearing repair, identify the configuration actually fitted to the vehicle so the repair is not based on another Tesla model's parts or procedure.
