Tesla Model X Steering Noise Diagnostics FAQ
The sound may come from steering, suspension or adjacent trim and components. Describe whether it occurs while parked, moving or crossing uneven ground so the inspection can narrow the source.
No. The source needs to be identified before an assembly is recommended. A recording made safely can help, but it does not replace the physical inspection.
State which direction causes it, whether steering effort has changed and whether there was a recent impact or repair. Report any steering warning promptly and follow the vehicle's instructions.
Provide the VIN, exact symptom and affected component. For Model X steering noise diagnostics, identify the configuration actually fitted to the vehicle so the repair is not based on another Tesla model's parts or procedure.
